different between scalar and vector quantity

Scalar quantity has only magnitude..where as vector has both magnitude and direction

hey friend

A scaler is a one dimensional mesurment
of a quentity, like temperature or mass.
A vactor has more than one number associated with it .A simple example is velocity. It has magnitude called speed as well as a direction like north or south west or 10 degree west of north.
