scalar quantity have magnitude but not direction....
vector have both magnitude and direction .....

scalar eg- temperature , work, distance
vector eg- displacement , acceleration , momentum. .

scalar is one dimensional unit of quantity ...
vector is more than one dimensional unit of quantity...

scaler quantity has magnitude while vector quantity has magnitude as well as direction. speed is a scaler quantity .velocity is vector quantity.
