Self - confidence is when you have a sense of trust on yourself. You are sure that whatever you are doing/will do is going to be righteous. It is much of a path of success because without self confidence start to doubt our capabilities which deny us from reaching our true potential.

Now, overconfidence has a similar meaning, that is, it is also a sense of trust on ourselves it the difference is that in overconfidence this sense is in excess. You are so assured about yourself that you don't allow anyone to question you. It leads to failure. You are so sure that even if you take a wrong decision you are fearless and don't accept your flaw.
