Different between self reliant self assured

Self reliant means someone who is dependent on his own capabilities and does not need any one else's help.

Self assured means being sure that his/her own power is trustworthy and can't go wrongly.

In simple words, Self reliant means depending(relying) on one's own self and self assured means believing on those powers.

Just a slight of a difference.
