Different between sexual and unsexual reproduction

Sexual reproduction means reproduction with involvement of two different sexes, while asexual reproduction means reproduction only with one parent.

ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION

- a single individual gives rise to new individual

- gametes are not formed

- new individuals is identical to parent

-adopted by lower organisms

SEXUAL REPRODUCTION

- Two individuals i.e. one male and one female are needed to giv rise to new individuals

-gametes are formed

- useful to generate more variation in species

- adopted by higher organisms
