The form is the central point of a database. It is used to view, enter, manipulate and search data. Forms can be designed in different ways like tabular, columnar, datasheet, and justified.

In tabular form the data is displayed in a table layout following a continuous series of records. In this almost all the records are displayed in a single layout.

While in columnar form the data is displayed one record at a time. This type of display is convenient for data entry and analysis because the user can examine each piece of information for each one record.
