SCALAR MATRIX : A square matrix in which every non diagonal element is 0 and all the diagonal elements are equal is known. For example , A = 5 0 0 5 is a scalar matrix of order 2 . UNIT MATRIX : A square matrix in which every non diagonal element is 0.
