The main difference is that all the microbes are completely living with their own cell mechanisms. While viruses do not have any protoplasm or cell mechanism. They are just a collection of RNA which enter the host’s body and use its cell mechanism. Basically outside a host a virus is as good as dead, It can survive for thousands of years outside because its non living. Also because of this viruses are not even considered in any of the classifications of living organisms which you must have studied in class 9th(Diversity)
