Matter : anything in our surrounding that occupy space and have mass matter is made up of small particles these particles maybe atoms and molecules.
Properties of substance to called as matter;
1st matter is made up of small particles

2nd every particles must have space between them
.
3rd they are constantly moving
.
4th they attract each other by a Cohesive force
.
Classification of matter as solid liquid and gas as they are divided into three parts
1st properties of solids are as follow:
A it has a fixed mass shape volume it cannot be compressed much it do not flow solids are high density in to not feel there container completely
2nd it has a fixed volume but not shape it has moderate compressibility it has moderate density it can flow easily it do not feel their container completely these are liquid second its state of matter
3rd III state of matter are gases it has not fixed shape nor volume it can be compressed easily it has low density it flows easily it fills the container completely

any this which is said to be matter those must have to satisfied some law it must have some mass and occupies space is called matter

and if the substance is matter then it must have some property...........
