Electric Current Causes Two Effects,
1. Heating Effect i. e. when electric current is passed through a resistor such as a bulb filament heat is produced.
2. Magnetic Effect i.e. when a compass needle is kept near a wire carrying electric current, its needle starts deflecting which shows the presence of a magnetic field due to this electric current.
