1.HERTZ EXPERIMENT:-

▪Hertz observed that when ultraviolet rays are incident on a negative place of electric discharge tube then conduction take place easily in the tube.

2.HALLWACH EXPERIMENT:-

▪Hallwach observe that if negatively charged Zn plate of electroscope is illuminated by ultraviolet light, its negative charge decreases and becomes neutral and after sometime,it gives positive charge.

▫It indicates that under the action of ultraviolet light some negative charged particles are emitted from the metal.

3.LENARD EXPERIMENT:-

▪Lenard told that when ultraviolet rays are incident on cathode, electrons are ejected, these electron are attracted by anode and due to complete path of photoelectrons photo current flows.

▫When ultraviolet rays are incident on anode, electricity ejected but current does not flow.
