Caste can take various forms in politics :

1. When parties choose candidates for elections, they keep in mind the Caste composition of electorate and choose the candidates belonging to that particular caste.

2. Voters also prefer to vote for the candidate, belonging to their Caste.

3. Leaders of political parties also make promises on the basis of Caste to muster huge support.
