We finally put into perspective the different time scales of the mechanisms ... The dominant groups of cultivated plant species are cereals ( wheat, barley, rye, rice, corn, sorghum, etc.) .
When plants of the same kind are grown and cultivated in one place on a large scale, it is called a crop. For example, a crop of paddy means that all the plants grown in a field are of paddy.
