BARRIER METHOD: The physical devices such as condoms and diaphragm are used.
HORMONAL METHOD: These contain hormonal preparations in the form of pills which prevent the release of ovum.
CHEMICAL METHOD: Spermicides are applied in vagina and it will kill the sperms.
SURGICAL METHOD: In males small portion of sperm duct is cut and tied to prevent sperms from coming out, this is called vasectomy. In females the fallopian tube is cut and tied due to this the egg will not reach the uterus, this is called Tubectomy.
