Answer:

i.

principal(P)= 20,000

amount = A

R1 = 8%

R2 = 10%

C.I = A+P

A = P ( 1+ R1 /100) (1+ R2 /100)

= 20,000 × (1+ 8/100) ×(1+10/100)

= 20,000 × 108/100× 110/100

= 2×108×110

= 23760

Therefore , it will amount to Rs. 23760.

ii.

amount (A) = Rs. 4452

R1 = 6%

R2 = 5%

principal = P

A = P × (1 + R1/100) (1 + R2/100)

4452 = P × 106/100 × 105/100

4452 = P × 1113/1000

P = (4452 × 1000)÷1113

P = 4452 × 1000

__________

1113

P = 4× 1000

P = 4000

Therefore, the sum of money is Rs. 4000.

Hope , this helps.....
