Different species use different strategies to determine the sex of a new born individual.
There are different types of sex determination in organism like :
1. Environmental based sex determination.
2.Genetic based sex determination.
Environmental based sex determination:
1. In some reptiles, the temperature at which the fertilized egg is incubation before hatching plays a very important role in determination of sex of new born.
2. In turtle, high incubation temperature leads to development of female offspring.
On the other hand , in case of lizard, high incubation results in male offspring.
3. In some animals like snails, individual can change sex indicating that sex is not determineddetermine genetically.
Genetic based sex determination :
For example in human beings , the sex of individual is largely genetically determined.
In human beings , sex chromosomes are in men ( XY) in women (XX). The sex of new born is determined by what they inherit from their father.
X chromosome from father results in baby girl. (X from mother and x from father).
Y chromosome from father results in baby boy. ( X from mother and Y from father).
In grasshoper ( XO - male, XX - female).
Hope it's clear.

Answer:
hey
here
Explanation:
Ans. Environmental Cue : (i) In some animals, the
temperature at which fertilised eggs are kept
determines whether the developing animal in egg
is male or female.
(ii) In some animals like snail, individual can change
sex.
Genetic cue-a child who inherits X chromosome from her father will be a girl and who inherits Y chromosome from the father will be a boy
