Heya !!!

Here's the answer !!

The phenomenon of maturation of androecium and gynoecium at different timings is called as DICHOGAMY.

♦It is a outbreeding device (adaptation or contrivance) that promote cross pollination.

➡ It's of 2 types :

▶Protandry : Release of pollen before the stigma becomes receptive. In other words early maturation of androecium when still the gynoecium is immature.

Example : Sunflower

▶Protogyny : Stigma becomes receptive much before the release of pollen . In other words , the gynoecium matures soon when still the androecium is immature.

Example : Solanum, Datura

Hope this helps you :)
