Different timings of maturation of gynoecium and androecium is termed as Dichogamy.
In some plants, anthers mature earlier than stigma which is called protandry.
Eg: sweet pea, sunflower
In some plants the stigma matures earlier than anthers which is called protogyny.
Eg: Custard apple, peepal.
