1. Light is a form of energy. ... The interaction of light and matter determines the appearance of everything around us. Light interacts with matter in ways such as emission and absorption. The photoelectric effect is an example of how matter absorbs light.

2. (a) the shape and size of the object.

(b) the position of the source of light.

(c) the distance between the source of light and object.

3. (a) For a rough surface, reflected light rays scatter in all directions.

(b) Light reflects from a smooth surface at the same angle as it hits the surface. For a smooth surface, reflected light rays travel in the same direction. This is called specular reflection.

1. when light interact with object it will reflect and emitted to some light absorb by object in this process intensity of light become weak

2. The size of the shadow depends on the distance of the source of light and the angle at which the light rays fall on the object. If the source of light is closer to the object, a larger shadow is formed and vice-versa. On the other hand, if the angle of incident light is close to 90∘, the shadow is smaller.

3. Light reflect from smooth surface at the same angle as it hits the surface. For a smooth surface reflected light rays travel in the same direction . This is called specular reflection. For a rough surface reflected light rays scatter in all directions. This is called diffuse reflection
