Monarchy :-

a) A government under the control or ruled by a single person, king.

b) People's freedoms are curtailed and they do not enjoy political rights.

c) A monarch is not answerable or accountable to anybody.

d) In a monarchy there are no elections, a monarch may get himself elected once for a life.

e) All powers are concentrated in the hands of a monarch and his nobility.

Democracy :-

a) It is government based on the consent of the people.

b) People enjoy political and legal rights and liberties.

c) Government is answerable and accountable to the people.

d) Elections take place on a regular basis where people elect their representatives.

e) There is a proper separation of power and decentralization.
