The accuracy is defined as how the value is close to the true value. For example the various readings of an experiment to determine Gravity are given:9.3,9.6,9.7,9.8.10 etc. Out of these values 9.8 is most accurate as this is same to true value and 9.3 is much inaccurate as it s quite away from true value.

Precision tells about the closeness of values to each other. Precise values may or may not be accurate.

Like there are two different sets of readings

Case 1. 5,10,15,20

Case 2. 1.1,1.2,1.3,1.4

The values of 2nd case are said to be precise due to closeness to each other.

ÊLLØ'.....!!

→PRECISION

• It refers to the closeness of various measurements for the same quantity .

• Measurements will be close to their average value. Average value may not be close to the true value.

→ACCURACY

• It refers to the closeness of the average value of different measurements to the true value .

• The individual measurements may not be close to each other.

Thanks......!!
