Step-by-step explanation:

Acidic oxides: These are basically the non-metallic oxides.

They release Hydronium ions in their aqueous solution.

They turn blue litmus red.

React with bases to neurtralise the reaction.

Eg:H₂S, SO₂.

Basic oxides: These are basically the metal oxides.

They release Hydroxyl ions in their aqueous solution.

They turn red litmus blue.

React with acids to neurtralise the reaction.

E.g.:Na₂O, K₂O

We can consider the following as exceptionals:

Amphoteric oxides: These are those "special kind of metal oxides" that have both acidic and basic behaviour.

They react with Acid and bases both to neurtralise the Reaction.

E.ɡ.:Al₂O₃, ZnO, BeO

ZnO+2HCl→ZnCl₂+H₂O (Reaction with acid)

ZnO+NaOH→Na₂ZnO₂+H₂O (Reaction with base)

Neutral oxides: These are those "special kinds of non metal oxides" that neither show acidic nor basic behaviour.

E.g.:H₂O, CO, NO
