The Planetary winds refer to those which move in the ame direction through out the year.
They are also known as the permanant winds.
The south east anf the north east trade winds can very well be called the planetary winds.
The periodic winds are those which are caused due to the different seasons.
An example of this is the monson winds.
The local winds are those which limit themselves in certain places.
