==> Metals are very hard  is it is not possible to break them with bare hands.
Whereas , Non - metals are very soft , which can be easily broken

==> Metals are malleable. This means that the metals can be easily changed into another shape. On the other hand , non metals are not malleable

==> Metals are ductile. This means that metals can be drawn into thin wire.On the other hand , non -metals are not ductile

==> Metals shine whereas , non metals do not shine and have very dull appearance.

==> Metals are sonorous [ makes sound when struck hard ] ,whereas , non metals are not sonorous.

==>Metals are good conductors of electricity
Whereas , non metals are bad / poor conductors of electricity

Example of Metal  : Copper , Silver , Aluminium
Example of Non metals :Oxygen , Carbon etc...

manideepkonda: metals-the element with three or less electrons in outer shell is called metals
manideepkonda: non metals-the elements with five or more electrons in outermost shell are called non metals

METAL
-----------------
-1------they conduct electricity .----- copper

2-------they are mealleable .---gold

3----- they are ductile
4------they can be beaten into sheet . gold
5------they conductivity ..... iron

NON METAL
------------------------
1-------they are do not conduct electricity .
2---------they
are non malleable
3-------- they are not ductile
4------ they does not have conductivity
5-------- when they are beaten they form white mashy powder .........

hope it help u.............
