1. Vibratory and periodic motion
⇒ oscillatory motion in which the motion of the object is fast and undergoes change in shape or size is called vibratory motion while vibratory motion is repetive motion, which repeats itself after fixed interval of time is called periodic motion.
2. Scalar and Vector quantity:
⇒ the physical quantities which have only magnitude and no direction are called scalar quantity while the physical quantities which have both the magnitude and direction is called vector quantity.
3. Distance and Displacement
⇒ the total path length travelled by a moving body is called distance while the shortest length between initial position and final position is called displacement.
4. Speed and velocity
⇒the distance covered in a unit time is called speed and the displacement covered in unit time is called velocity.

1. vibratory and periodic motion
----------------------------------------------------
vibratory
vibratory and oscillatory motions are somewhat same the to nd fro motion of the object along its mean path
periodic
periodic motion takes place periodically at regular intervals of time
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2)scaler and vector quantity
----------------------------------------------
scalar quantity
1)it has only magnitude but no direction
eg -- distance speed etc
vector quantity
1)it has both magnitude and direction
eg--- displacement , velocity , accereration
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.distance and displacement
----------------------------------------------
distance
1)the change in position of the body with respect to time is called distance
2)it is scalar quantity
displacement
1)the shortest distance traveled by a particle
2)it is a vector quantity
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. speed and velocity
----------------------------------------
speed
1)it is rate of change of distance
2)it is scalar quantity
