   It is the length of the path travelled by a object in a certain time.

   It is a scalar quantity.

   It is always positive.

   It depends on the path followed by the object.

   Distance cannot be zero.

Displacement

   It is the shortest distance between the initial and final positions.

   It is a vector quantity.

   It doesn't depends on the path followed by the object.

   Displacement may or may not be zero.
