a) Distance and Displacement

b) Speed and velocity.

_________________________

A). ◇Distance and displacement

  • Distance is a actual distance covers by body while displacement is the shortest distance covers by body.
  • Distance can never be zero 0 but Displacement can be zero 0.
  • Distance is always equal to greater than displacement but Displacement is always equal or smaller than distance.
  • Distance is a sacler quantity but Displacement is a vector quantity.

B). ★ speed and velocity

  • Total distance travelled by moving body in a unit time interval is called Speed. while total displacement in unit time interval by a moving body is called velocity.
  • speed is a scaler quantity and velocity is a vector quantity.
  • Average speed id not equal to zero 0 and Average velocity may be zero 0.
  • speed is always positive but velocity may be positive or negative.
