-A pure substance is made up of only one type of atom, or molecule. Examples: water. oxygen, argon (Ar atoms). whereas, a mixture is made of up of more than one type of atom or molecule. Examples: Smog, Salad, Sea water, etc.

-Composition of a pure substance is fixed, but the composition of a mixture can vary.

- Pure Substances are homogeneous but mixtures can either be homogeneous or heterogeneous in nature.

-Examples of pure substances are water. oxygen, argon (Ar atoms). whereas, a mixture is made of up of more than one type of atom or molecule.

Examples of mixtures- Smog, Salad, Seawater, etc.
