A substance which in its pure, in other words it contains only one element. ex.element and compound
A substance which is formed by mixing two compound is called a mixture.ex.heterogeneous and homogenous mixture

A pure substance always shows similar properties.

Example :

Pure gold which can be moulded even be hands

" Impure substances "

A substance which is made up of more than one element is called impure substances.

Example :
