a - 1. crytalline forms have a particular shape and size . example are salt particles and sugar particles

2.amorphous form does not have a particular form of shape and size . examples are calcium carbonate e.t.c

b.1. diamond burns at 900 ℃ to form carbon dioxide and is abad conductor of electricity and also it is hard to touch

2. graphite burns at 700℃ to form carbon dioxide , it is a good conductor of electricity and it is soft and greasy to touch

Hope it helps !!!!

Carbon is present in crystalline forms.

And carbon also exists in an amorphous form. Carbon forms different forms are called allotropes.

Example: diamond, graphite fullerene.

Many atoms are linked in a crystal in a repeated pattern that can contain thousands of atoms.

For each carbon form, the arrangement of atoms in the crystal differs and explains why the various forms have different properties.

Diamond is a carbon form in which each carbon atom is linked to four additional carbon atoms.

This forms a strong, rigid and three-dimensional structure. Diamond is the hardest natural substance and cannot be broken down easily.

Graphite is a crystalline carbon form in which each carbon atom is connected to three additional carbon atoms.

In every single layer of carbon atoms have strong bonds but only weak bonds are present in between layers.

The weak forces of attractions between the layers allow the layers to slide over each other so that graphite is relatively slippery and soft.

Another form of carbon is a fullerene, in which carbon atoms are arranged in a sphere.

Each sphere has 60 carbon atoms and each carbon atom is linked by a single covalent.

The bonds which are present in carbons are relatively weak.
