\implies Acceleration is increasing or decreasing speed or changing direction, whereas velocity is how much distance you cover in a given amount of time. The rate at which velocity changes over time;an object accelerates its speed, direction, or both change.

Answer:

Velocity is total displacement covered in a given time .

note- In velocity the displacement is used not the distance .(displacement-shortest path covered by the body)

velocity is a vector quantity i.e it has both magnitude and direction . On the other hand speed is the scalar quantity.

Acceleration is rate of change of velocity. when the velocity is not constant i.e it changes with time ,It is called acceleration which is also a vector quantity

HOPE IT HELPS A LITTLE BIT :-))
