Acids:

Base:

1. The substances which are soapy to touch and taste bitter.

3. According to Arrhenius Concept, bases release free hydronium [H3O+] or hydroxide (OH-) ions in water solution.

4. For eg CH3COOH, Ca(OH)2, NaOH

Salts:

1. Any chemical compound formed from the reaction of an acid with a base, with all or part of the hydrogen of the acid replaced by a metal or other cation.

2. For eg. Nacl, NaNO3, CuSO4
