Differentiate between activd and dormant volcano

active volcano is a volcano which erupts usually after one or two years is after a short period of time. eg st.Helens(USA) whereas dormant volcano is the one which erupts after a long period that is after 15 to 16 years. eg volcanoes of ring of Fire.
