active link are links that are active and is in blue colour and visited links are purple in colour

"A link that becomes active when you click on it is referred to as active link.
We are unable to trace the formatting of an active link because it changes from the active to the visited mode quite fast.
On the other hand, a visited link is a link that has already been clicked on, thus it is referred to as being visible.
