in aerobic respiration respiration takes place the presence of oxygen in which more energy is produced. where as in anaerobic respiration respiration takes place in the absence of oxygen in which less energy is produced. Enzymes break down the food.

glucose+oxygen---->carbon dioxide+water+energy(38 ATP)

anaerobic respiration:-

glucose---->ethyl alcohol+energy(2 ATP)
