Ahoms were the migrants of the Brahmaputra Valley from present day Myanmar and Yunnan Province of China. They originally belonged to Tai-Mongoloid breed. While the Gonds were not migrants. They lived in vast forested region called Gondwana.

Difference between Ahoms and Gonds are as follow-

Ahoms-The Ahom people migrated from china to Assam.they came to Assan under the rule of king Sukaphaa in 1228. This state totally depends on forced labour.they are known as tribe people.They blindly trust on Bramanas andthey offer them land in order raise thier status.

Gonds- Gonds lived in Gondwana and they are not migrants. Gond people marry with Rajputs to get the recognition as Rajputs. Gond people used the new methods of cultivation.They do not depends on forced labour.
