ALKANES
alkanes have single 'sigma' bond.
they have sp3 hybridized carbon.

general formula
Cn H2n+2

ALKENES
alkenes have double bond.
the carbon atoms to which double bond is attached is sp2 hybridized.
general formula.
CnH2n

ALKYNES
a double bond consist of a 'sigma' and a 'pi' bond.

alkynes have triple bond.
the carbon atom to which triple bond is attached is sp hybridized.
general formula
CnH2n-2

triple bond consist of 2 'sigma' bond and 1 'pi' bond.
hope it helps

sanyamaske: please mark as brainliest if it helped.
lilpeepandx: it did a bit
lilpeepandx: ok now better
sanyamaske: thankyou so much..

Ciao,
alkane are the organic compounds in which ●the four valencies of carbon atoms are satisfied by single bond.
●carbon in alkane is sp3 hybridized.
●they have general formula as CnH2n+1.
● example is methane ( simplest memeber of this family )
ALKENES:
● they have double bonds.and tqo hydrogen less than that of alkanes
● they have general formula as CnH2n.
● example is ethene.
ALKYNES:
●unsaturated hydrocarbons containing triple bonds.
● general formula is CnH2n-2.
● example ethyne.
hope it will help you. stay blessed

lilpeepandx: thanks tho
hira62: no problem☺
