a double bond consist of a 'sigma' and a 'pi' bond.

alkynes have triple bond.
the carbon atom to which triple bond is attached is sp hybridized.
general formula
CnH2n-2

triple bond consist of 2 'sigma' bond and 1 'pi' bond.
