differentiate between Alternating Current and Direct current.which current is prefferred for transmission over a lon distance ?....pls answer my question fast....

Ac current, if the current reverse direction after equal interval of time. Dc current, if the current flows in one direction only. in Ac current , the positive and negative of an alternating current is nkt fixed , butin DC, the polarity is fixed . the freq. of AC is 50 hz, in DC it is 0 fre
