A questionnaire mostly consists of MCQ type questions, and people mostly cannot elaborate their point. You won't get the broader vision of the point that the want to make. However, in an interview, you can dig deep into their thoughts about something. And you can create a human relationship and in the face to face interaction you can guess how the a feel about something and you can see what their first reaction is. In questionnaires, people might just write anything because they don't want to hurt someone or they might be in a hurry. However, in an interview they have a lot of time to think carefully and say whatever they think is right.
