archigonia are the organs or cells inside which female gametes are produced and stored. It is the site for fertilization gametophyte phase in some plants . 
oogonium are the cells that will grow into eggs one day. oogonium are present into human foetus also which becomes egg gradually in some plants . archigonia gives rise to the oogonium which transforms into an egg
