1.Akbar, who was popularly known as “Akbar the Great,” was the third Mughal emperor. Shahjahan was the fifth Mughal emperor.

2.Akbar had much interest in painting. Art and culture flourished during his reign. Shahjahan’s period is known as the golden age of Mughal architecture.

3.During Akbar’s rule, there was peace and no known rebellions or wars took place. But Shahjahan faced rebellions and unrest.

4.Shahjahan had an army that was four times larger than that of Akbar’s.

5.Akbar had a good relationship with the Rajputs. He even married Rajput princesses as a part of diplomacy. On the other hand, Shahjahan captured Rajput kingdoms.
