Attitude is a psychological trait and Intention is a mental ability. Intention is situational based which comes out as a decision, but attitude is a part of personality which is in particular with what kind of person one is talking of.
Providing an individual with new information that changes the attitude will tend to cause that individual to change overall attitudes towards a particular object.
