1) In Auto trophic Nutrition, food is made from inorganic compounds, whereas in heterotrophic nutrition food is obtained from organic compounds.
2) In Auto trophic Nutrition, chlorophyll and sunlight is required, whereas in heterotrophic nutrition chlorophyll and sunlight is not required.
3) In Auto trophic Nutrition, photosynthesis or chemosynthesis takes place, whereas in heterotrophic nutrition these processes do not occur.
4) Auto Trophic Nutrition occurs in green plants and some bacteria whereas heterotrophic nutrition occurs in animals and insectivorous plants.

Autotrophic nutrition: In this organism prepare their own food by using environment like sunlight,water and air.
Orangnism which have mode of autotrophic nutrition are called autotrophs.
Chlorophyll is must for this mode of nutrition.
E.g.:- Plants
HETEROTROPHIC NUTRITION:- In this oraganisms get readymate food from environment instead of making their own.
Orangnisms who have such type of mode of nutrition are called heterotrophs.
These oranganisms does not have chlorophyll.
