Differentiate between axis and equator

Axis:- the axis of the earth is an imaginary line passing through the interior of the earth it connects the two poles (north pole,south pole).

Equator:- the imaginary lines that are drawn from west to east across the globe are called latitudes. They are all not of the same length.
