biodegradable means which does not cause anytype of pollution while degradation e.g dry leaves of plants

non biodegradable means which causes pollution while degradation

e.g plastic,thermocol

Following are the difference between biodegradable and non biodegradable -

Biodegradable :-

  • Those which can be easily degraded by the decomposers into substances that go into soil and are harmless to the environment .
  • They are natural wastes.
  • Examples- vegetables wastes, animal excreta

Non-biodegradable :-

  • Those which cannot be degraded by the decomposers and thus remain in the environment causing pollution.
  • They are non-natural wastes.
  • Examples- plastic, polythene
