Birth rate is natality and it is the live birth per 1000 people per year.
Whereas death rate or mortality is the rate of death per 1000 people per year .

Birth rate is the number of new borns received within na given a region or nation and within the given interval of time while the death rate is the number of the lives lost within the the given period of time with tjhe given time frames.  This are the key factors to the growth or fall of the population of any given place for a period of time.
