Serum is a yellow colour fluid that is composed of water, albumin, immunoglobulin, etc. Serum is basically blood plasma in which there is no fibrinogen and various other clotting factors.

Plasma is the liquid portion of blood. It transports nutrients to the various parts of the body in the dissolved form and also carries wastes materials generated in the various parts of the body to the excretory organs to be excreted.
