Cell plate:

》During the cytokinesis(division of cytoplasm) process occurs in plants ,the cell started to elongate at the time of cell division.

》and as the precursor daughter cells are also present in it, the Er and golgi body of them started to secrete phragmoplasts which goes directly in the mid space between the two daughter nuclei.

》the phragmoplasts started to allign step by step and result into forming a cell plate.

》This cell plate now is the precursor of middle lamella(seprating substance between isolated cells).

》after the cell plate formation, the daughter nuclei are now seperated and secrete the cell wall by centripetal manner , further the both now will be seperate daughter cells.

\star The above process only occurs in the plant cells, in animals there is no need of cell wall formation.

The plasma membrane itself get divided by centrifugal manner and form two separate cells.

Metaphase plate:

》This happens during the cell division process in both plants and animals.

》In the metaphase stage of M-phase of cell cycle, all the chromosome are attached by the spindle fibres via their kinetochores.

》as the process continues, chromosomes get alligned at the centre of the cell to get seperated and enter into anaphase

》During that, the plane at which all the chromosomes get alligned is called the metaphasic plate.

This also acts as Check point for the cycle, to ensure that all chromosomes are properly alligned by their chromatids,

so that to get intact genome after splitting/seperation.

Answer:

  • The cell plate is a structure that forms in the cells of land plants while they're witnessing cell division.
  • The conformation of the cell plate takes place during the mitotic phase.
  • The cell plate is a physical interphase present only in shops and in some algal cells, while the metaphase plate is imaginary interphase present in both plant and animal cells.
  • The cell plate is a flat membrane-bound structure that develops between two chromosome groups in a dividing plant cell, while the metaphase plate is a region or plane that's present roughly equidistant from the two poles of a dividing cell.
  • In metaphase, motor proteins line the chromosomes over along a network of microtubules in the middle of the cell. This network is called the “ metaphase plate. ”
  • In a plant that has a Phragmosome, the metaphase plate generally runs through the Phragmosome and occupies the same position where the cell plate will latterly form.
