(a) PERMEABILITY:Cell wall is completely permeable to ordinary  macro-molecules BUT Cell membrane is selectively permeable or semi- permeable allowing only certain molecules to pass through.

(b) COMPOSITION :Cell wall is made up of cellulose BUT cell membrane is made up of lipids and proteins.
