1. Presence of chlorophyll:

Chlorenchyma contains chlorophyll while aerenchyma does not.

2. Arrangement of cells:

Chlorenchyma has tightly packed cells. Cells of aerenchyma are very loosely packed.

3. Function:

Chlorenchyma provides food to the plant. Aerenchyma provides bouyancy ( ability to float ) to some aquatic plants.
